Smuggler Marine Ltd

We are a small family company and have been building quality boats for over 20 years. David Pringle manages the dedicated factory staff while his wife Pauline keeps the office in order. The business originated as David Pringle Boat Builders, building yachts and launches for a large number of very satisfied clients. As well as building new timber or fibreglass boats up to 16m, we do refits, repaints, hull extensions and hardtops.

As an extension of the business purchased the Smuggler moulds that had been out of production for five years. We began to develop the new 'Stealth 695' in 2003, modernising the style and lengthening the hull, incorporating a portofino stern.

The company changed its name from David Pringle Boat Builders Ltd to Smuggler Marine Ltd and we now have two distinct parts to our business - the new Smugglers and building new boats, refits, repaints, hull extensions and hardtops.
